About me
From Arcadia, FL , artist Teresa Myers began by taking art classes in high school where she won blue ribbons for her paintings. In 2012 she briefly moved to the MT Dora area where she joined the MT Dora art league. Teresa met and started taking classes with her mentor award winning artist Carol Platt at the Mount Dora center of the arts and privately at her studio. Carol so generously shared some of her vast knowledge and introduced Teresa to painting with oils, inspiring her to try portraits and landscapes as well as still life. Carol has become a life long friend that still inspires Teresa to reach higher and explore new mediums and materials. Teresa moved to Plant city in 2013 where she became a member of the East Hillsborough Art Guild and paints from her home studio.
